San Francisco Street Photography
I had a few hours between meetings in San Francisco and decided to take a walk. I had my new Leica D-Lux 8 with me and it performed admirably. You can see my YouTube post of my walk here. I walked a few miles, starting in Little Italy, then through the edge of Chinatown, and down into the business district. The D-Lux 8 is a great little camera and perfect for this kind of walk. You can see my full review of the D-Lux 8 here. I shot primarily monochrome, which means I set the menu to the high-contrast monochrome option. This means that the viewfinder and rear screen show the monochrome image, and the JPEG’s are in monochrome as shown. However, the RAW files are always in full color as the camera sees things. I like the monochrome setting as it pushes you into seeking interest and contrast and take more interesting photos. Take a look at some of the shots from the Leica D-Lux 8.
